Organise seating for the reception Confirm details with professionals -photographer, videographer, decorator, etc. Final dress fitting Write your wedding toasts

4 – 8 weeks
Mail invitations 6 – 8 weeks ahead of wedding date

Make a decision in regards to your will, or insurance policy

2 – 4 months
Check out marriage license requirements

Order Suits for the groom and groomsmen Meet with caterer and reception venue organizers to discuss menu, etc. Order the wedding cake Select ceremony and reception music Select souvenirs Meet with equipment-rental companies (if needed) Organise accommodation for your wedding night

4 – 6 months
Choose your wedding stationery i.e. invitations, programmes, etc. Select someone to bake your wedding cake Organise wedding day transportation Book your beauty professionals for the big day Seek accommodations for out-of-town guests Complete the guest list Begin honeymoon plans and make hotel and or flight reservations Set date for wedding rehearsal

6 – 9 months
Shop for your wedding bands

Reserve reception site Shop around, and order your gown Select a caterer Enroll in a bridal-gift registry Shop for bridal attendants’ dresses Choose your photographer/videographer Select a florist/decorator Book the musicians/DJ Start searching for honeymoon destinations

9 – 12 months
Announce your engagement Set a wedding date Discuss budget with all those involved in the wedding planning Decide on a wedding planner, if using one Select your wedding party Pick the ceremony site and decide on the officiant Work on guest list
